The subretinal fibrosis and uveitis syndrome is a rare posterior uveitis characterized in the early stages by a multifocal choroiditis, followed by progressive subretinal fibrosis. Usually occurs in healthy and young myopic women. The etiology remains unknow.
Symptoms include unilateral visual loss, blurred vision, metamorphopsia, paracentral scotomas, and photopsias.
Fundus findings include choroidal lesions that enlarged and coalesce, in the posterior pole and midperiphery, to create areas of white subretinal fibrosis.
This syndrome has poor prognosis and recurrences are common.
